WEEK 3 :)

I learned that the Family/Child Youth Services is a big organization with various different issues having to do with kids using drugs, families not having a house to live in, and kids with parents or family members doing drugs in the household. All of the organizations I have looked at or searched through all have programs to help the those having to do with the concerns we have as well. It's important that we see the numbers before making an investment because we want to see if they use their money wisely. I learned that they donate a lot, and receive a lot of funding.

Week 2 :)

The paper bag activity was very interesting. I learned a lot about myself because of the belongings that I find very important have an actual deep story behind it. Such as my charm bracelet, and how much I enjoy music and my iPhone. My other classmates brought interesting belongings that were surprising to me.
Writing a Vision, Mission, and Purpose statement was the first major step my team and I took to manage our plan toward the organizations that we deeply care about.
Once each of my group members and I contact the organizations, I think will encounter some confidential problems, but then again we will still have success with others. I'm looking forward to it.

My first experience :)

My first experience with the MAD ( make a difference) cards was great. I learned that I care about more than I expected. When Ryan asked us to narrow down the cards to 3, it was a real challenge for me because there was several different cards I had to choose from. Other students in my class room seemed to have the same problem, but I learned that they care about things I never thought they would actually care about, or

I had no idea they had that sensitivity toward the subject.

I hope to gain more knowledge toward the process of giving away money to organizations that matter in the community.
